Such a lovely day.

Such a lovely day.

We couldn’t believe what a beautiful day we had for our Autumn Fayre. The doors were opened just a tad early to welcome the people who were standing outside in the fresh autumn sunshine, waiting to look around at all the goodies on sale. The plant stall was bustling with people as was the toy stall. There were some yummy cakes and preserves to pick up, along with all the other usual items that help make our church fetes so enjoyable. There was a great tombola table and a wonderful lot of raffle prizes to be won. All was busy until around mid-day when dishes of super-hot food were served up, then all went quite as our visitors and stall-holders enjoyed their lunch. When everyone was full and we had spent all our money, it was time to close down. Our vicar Carolyn thanked everyone who helped in any way to make the Fayre such a success, especially Margaret Deacon who organized the occasion and was delighted to announce that the event raised over £1.000. Brilliant!
