Crafty caring!

Crafty caring!

The Carers Group meet every first and third Wednesday morning around 10.00am in St Leonard’s hall and on the third Wednesday of the month we usually hold an activity morning, and this month we got down to some serious Easter greeting-card making.

Glynis Worboys generously provided all the craft materials to help us get stuck into a couple of hours of art-work that tested our ideas and skills.

Being a carer is never easy, it can be mentally and physically draining, take up lots of time and our patience is often stretched to its utmost limits, so it’s beneficially relaxing to get away from it all for just a couple of hours, doing something creative and different. It is also helpful to spend time amongst others who know how hard it can be to keep going when things are not so good.

We are always assured of a very warm welcome here at St Mary’s, a fresh cup of tea or coffee and a much needed chat perhaps, to someone who knows what caring is all about. New carers are always welcome to come in and join us every first and third Wednesday morning around 10.00am.

Thank you Carers Group for a very happy morning.
